Ben and new family
Benjamin

06/23/18. So many hearts will be broken because we couldn't clone you.

We knew it wouldn't be long before someone fell in love with you (actually so many did) and would take you to be their baby boy pup!

We are so happy to have been here to help you find your furever family!

If there is one puppy that we know will be extremely spoiled and loved is you little Cooper Cartwright aka Benjamin!

Your family is thrilled to have you join them. You went up to your dad and fell asleep in his arms. Your mom Susan couldn't stand another day without you and your sister Maddie kept asking if you were home yet while she tried to enjoy her amazing spring break trip! Enjoy your gorgeous home and your extraordinary family! No one better than The Cartwrights

Gizmo Found his Happily Ever After!
Gizmo

6/19/18 Gizmo had a home until his family decided to add more tiny humans to it. Then they got old enough to chase and pull tails and one day Gizmo had enough and snapped. He didn't get another chance and was surrendered. Several applications came in but we couldn't let Gizmo go to just any home. One day a very kind, patient person with a heart for rescues and time to work with Gizmo submitted the perfect application...... but......she had a pet bird AND a granddaughter who visited frequently. Was it PAWSIBLE that this could work for Gizmo? After all reference checks came back great we all decided it was worth a try. Are we ever glad we did because Gizmo has blossomed into pretty much a perfect dog! He no longer cowers in fear, hides or has "accidents" and there is no need to snap because Gizmos knows nothing but 100% LOVE now. Truth be told he LOVES his new tiny human because she is older and knows how to treat Gizmo with kindness. Gizmo is surrounded by the love of adults, children and a best friend who is a bird! Happy Tails Gizmo! You found your PAWFECT FUREVER!

I found my forever home. I am so happy
Stewart

6/18/18 Stewart was adopted today. Stewart was found as a stray off the Interstate with a fish hook embedded in his mouth. His finder worked with animal control to attempt to locate his owner using his microchip info. Sadly the person who answered at the number listed said, "not my dog and don't call me again!." Stewart's finder could not keep him. She was concerned her bigger dogs would hurt him, so he became a United Yorkie Rescue boy. This fellow is as sweet as a lamb and looks and acts so much younger than his 11 years. Today life became so good for Stewart. He found his forever home with other fur siblings and a mom and dad who promised Stewart they will love and care for him for the rest of his life, and they mean forever and ever. He will never be on the streets along again. Stewart is home to stay.

Toto was adopted.
Toto

6/16/18: Toto was adopted by a loving family! He has two fur brothers who have welcomed him with wagging tails! Toto had a rough start after coming to UYR. He needed extensive medical attention to remove bladder stones and regulate his diabetes. His new family is doing a great job keeping his diabetes in check and keeping him healthy! He's claimed the back of the couch as his throne befitting the King of the Castle that he thinks he is. I'll miss you Toto, but could not be happier for you and your new family!

Just chilling in my new bed

My new life is going to be so wonderful
Jazzy

6/16/18 Jazzy was adopted today. Jazzy came out of a horrible breeding/hoarding situation where her only job in her 8 years of life was to make puppies. When Jazzy was rescued and became a United Yorkie rescue dog she came to her foster home pregnant with what would be her last litter of puppies. Sadly for Jazzy, because of her weakened condition from lack of medical care and poor nutrition, her puppies were born too early and none of the three made it to even be two days old. It took Jazzy a while to recover from her loss, but she did and she became the most loving and sweetest little girl. She received the medical care she needed as well as her spay and soon Jazz was ready to go to her forever home. Today Jazzy was adopted and has a wonderful new mommy and daddy. She has a fur sister and brother and the most wonderful fenced yard where they can all run around in and play together. Jazzy will forever be loved and cared for. She will have the life she was always meant to have. Such a sweet life ahead for such a sweet girl.

Dahlia

06/15/18.Dahlia has a new Mommy who has plenty of time for her. Her new sister, Penny the Min Pin, is a perfect match too. After only a few minutes, they were following each other around the yard. She has a big back yard, and will go to a doggy day care two times a week just to play. Dahlia is afraid of big dogs and her daycare has a special class just for her to make friends her own size. When United Yorkie Rescue took in Dahlia, we were not sure she would live. Not only has this perfect little girl made a full recovery, she now has a perfect home forever.

I found my new home. Hooray

Chewy loves his new mommy
Chewy

6/14/18 Chewy was adopted today. Chewy arrived at his foster home almost exactly 4 months ago. It took that long for his foster parents to find this great little guy the perfect home. Chewy belonged to someone for several years. One day that owner brought Chewy and his brother to another home while he went away for a little while. One day their new mommy got a phone call. Seems this man didn't want Chewy or his brother anymore and was not coming to get them. He didn't care what happened to them. This very nice lady knew she had to keep them and so Chewy and his brother found themselves in a new home with a new family. After 2 years their new mommy found out she had to move across the country and didn't know how she could take both boys with her. She didn't even have a place to live in for herself. That was when she turned to United Yorkie Rescue for help, and that is how Chewy became a United Yorkie Rescue pup. He was happy in his foster home where he was taught some more proper doggie manners like doing all his business outside and how to walk nicely on a leash. Although Chewy has not totally mastered these skills he learned a lot in the 4 month in his foster home. Finally the most perfect family wanted to make Chewy their own baby. He now has a great new mommy and daddy and a fur sister to call his very own. It was so sad for Chewy to have been in 3 homes, but his new mommy and daddy have promised Chewy that is he is home for good and forever.

Bella and new family
Bella

06/12/18. I knew when I received word of this sweet surrender she would not be long in my arms. I already had an adopter who has touched my heart. When she reached out far in advance of Bella's arrival, I knew if she was all I thought she might be. She will have such an amazing family who will be blessed as well by filling their empty arms... It was perfect! I'm going to miss your sweet cuddles in the bed and your sweet soft kisses, Miss Bella. But look at this picture... she will want for nothing! Thank you Dena and girls for loving this baby.🐾❤

Rosie loves her new mommy so much
Rosie

6/11/18 Rosie was adopted today. Rosie has a new home! Yay for Rosie! This little girl had been in her foster home since March 31st. She was turned in to the shelter by her former owners. We don't know why but we suspect it was probably because she was blind. She has severe dry eye and doesn't produce tears. Medications didn't help and she wasn't a candidate for surgery. However, with lots of trial and error Rosie's foster mom and vet found some eye drops that have helped Rosie. Her new mom knows Rosie has to always have those drops put in her eyes, but she is very happy to do that. She loves Rosie so much. Rosie will always have limited vision. She can see light and dark and shadows, but this sweet girl is now with a wonderful family who are ready to love Rosie and give her all the care and happiness she deserves. From the scary shelter to a wonderful new home. It truly is a happy tails for Rosie.

Butler found his forever mommy and daddy
Butler

6-10-18 Butler was adopted today. Butler's former family was unable to care for this sweet boy. He was being left alone for hours and hours every day. It was not the right kind of life for a young, active guy like Butler. He did so well in his foster home. He got to play and go outside. He even learned some more puppy manners like doing his business outside. Butler had it all except for his forever home. Today his new mommy and daddy were so happy and so excited to welcome Butler as their new fur baby. Butler now has a new home and family that is all his. His new mom and dad also promised him that soon they will be getting a new home and they even promised Butler a big fenced yard. What a great life is ahead for Butler. Happy Tails. Your foster mom and dad are so happy for you.

Marley and Maverick together forever
Marley

6/3/18 Marley and her brother Maverick were adopted together today. Hooray!! Marley and Maverick are two of the sweetest puppies. They are very bonded and at only 11 months old were about to be surrendered to a shelter. No one would want both, and they would surely be split up, or maybe even worse, it was a shelter after all. UYR worked quickly to prevent this from happening. These two cuties have found their happily ever after together and we couldn't be happier for them.

Dexter

5-29-18 Dexter was adopted today. Dexter came into United Yorkie Rescue from the shelter. He waited for over a week for his family to find him but they never came. So he sat, sad and lonely and with a broken leg that happened while he was on the streets. Finally he knew, and the nice shelter people knew no one was coming for this 6 month old, adorable puppy. United Yorkie Rescue was waiting for the day they could go get him and get him the care that he needed. Finally that day happened and Dexter the puppy was taken to the vet right away. He did have a broken bone, but because he was so young and his grown plates had not closed the plan was crate rest for 2-3 weeks to allow the bone to heal on its own. It was very hard on a young, active puppy to spend all his time in a crate and only be taken out on a leash to do his business. Finally his time was up and he was free. His bone was healed and puppy freedom was his. All he needed now was his forever family. That happened today. Dexter went to a wonderful home. His mom is able to give him all the care he will need for his life. He has doggie and kitty friends and 2 human older kids to play with. He has a great big fenced yard and everything he could need--a house full of doggie toys and doggie beds and doggie fun. He even gets to go to work with his mom. Dexter is the luckiest puppy ever. He has it all. Happy days and Happy Tails to Dexter the Puppy.
