Precious and new mom
Precious

08/10/2021 Precious's new Mom, Dad, Fur-Brother & Fur-Sister were over the moon excited for Precious to join their family this week. They are an amazing loving and very active family that loves to go for long walks, camping trips and lots of play time at home and local parks. It was not easy to find a family that could match or at least keep up with Precious's activity level and extreme love of people, dogs, and life.... But we found them!!

Although her foster family deeply misses her sweetness and fun loving energy, they could not be happier for her to start her new life. Thanks to United Yorkie Rescue and her adopting family, this sweet little girl will never have to worry about being dumped at a shelter in the middle of health crisis again. She will be loved, cared for, and cherished for the rest of her life.

We are the perfect family.
Angel

8/10/21 Angel the angel was adopted today. Angel was turned into the shelter when her owner died. It was a sad day for this sweet senior. One day she had a home and the next day she didn't. Not only did she not have her mom and a home, but she was in a strange, noisy place that wasn't anywhere near as nice as her old home. Everything was different and none of it felt good. Angel didn't belong in a shelter and the staff knew it. After two days United Yorkie Rescue was asked if we would take this girl and help her find her final and last, forever home. Angel became a United Yorkie Rescue girl. It didn't take her foster parents long to know that Angel was exactly the right name for her. She got along with everyone, cats, dogs, kids, grown ups. There wasn't anyone she didn't like. She was sweet and well behaved. Her foster mom and dad found out that she loved the car ride especially if it meant she was getting a Pupsicle. All Angel needed was her forever home and today that is exactly what she got. The best home she could possibly want for the rest of her days. She has a wonderful forever stay-at-home mom and dad and the most perfect home. Angel will want for nothing ever again. Angel truly found her heaven on earth. Happy Tails little one.

I love my new daddy.
Rawling

8/6/21 Rawling was adopted today by a wonderful family. Back in February Rawling came to United Yorkie Rescue as an almost blind, vision impaired little guy, with cataracts in both eyes. He wasn't even 5 years old and UYR was not going to let him go through a lifetime of being blind if we could help it. On February 22, 2021 Rawling had his eye surgery. The eye surgeon told us she could only fix his left eye since his right one was not repairable, and that is what was done.

Rawling went through several months of multiple eye drops and rechecks with the eye surgeon. Finally on August 5th, almost 6 months after he became a United Yorkie Rescue dog, Rawling, now a dog who could see the world, was ready for adoption and to start the next part of his life. Today he did just that. He has a wonderful new mom and dad, a human sister, and even fur siblings to play with in his nice fenced backyard.

Rawling will be missed by his foster mom, but she knows this little guy will have a great life. We are so happy for Rawling as he begins the next adventure in his life. Happy Tails, sweet boy. So many more adventures still to come for you.

Look how happy we are. My new mom loves me so much
Lucky Florida Boy

7/28/21 Lucky was so lucky to be adopted by his wonderful new mom today. Lucky is such a sweet, beautiful Silky Terrier/Yorkie mix. He was surrendered to another rescue by his owner because she could no longer care for his special needs. Lucky was blind but he did great. Blindness didn't stop Lucky from doing anything and everything he wanted to do.

The vet Lucky saw said he had a mature cataract in his eye. He was not sure about the other eye. That eye also has a cataract but thought it may have been an immature one. For a 7 year old dog we owed it to Lucky to see if surgery could restore his sight in at least one eye.

At his eye exam we were told that the vision in one of Lucky's eyes could be surgically repaired and his vision restored. In February Lucky had his surgery and the world or sight was given to Lucky. It took months of eye drops and vet rechecks for the surgery to heal. All the while his real personality came out. Lucky became a happy, playful, loving little fellow. He loved the attention of his foster parents. His foster mom knew he needed a home where he would get lots of attention and not have to share what he wanted to be his alone.

Today Lucky got his wish. He has a wonderful new forever home with a mom that will be all his. He will get to go on lots of walks and have lots of toys to play with. He will get trips to her community dog park to play with other dogs, but then he gets to go home and has his mom all to himself. Lucky was the right name for this guy. From being blind to being able to see, from sharing his mom' love to having it all to himself. Lucky, your luck just got even better. Happy Tails little guy.

Snoopy found his PAWFECT FUREVER!
Snoopy

7/24/21 Poor Snoopy was used to landing at the shelter multiple times in bad condition. Twice in 14 months he did his time in puppy jail. Each time he was a matted, flea infested mess of a dog suffering from neglect. Those days are DEFINITELY OVER for this fluffy Arctic Fox look-a-like because TODAY he got the best Mom EVER who will love him to pieces. Now go have your BEST LIFE EVER SNOOPY!

I love my new family. I am the happiest fellow ever
Milo

7/20/21 Milo was adopted today. Somehow Milo, this young pup of only 3 years, ended up in the noisy shelter full of big, loud dogs. It is no wonder he was so scared his tail was tucked so far under his body you would think he didn't have a tail at all, and he growled at the shelter worker. The staff knew he needed to be away from all the noise and commotion and Milo was given residence in the office of the shelter's Rescue Coordinator. This very shy fellow was much happier there and it wasn't too long before he was sitting on her lap, wagging his tail, and giving her kisses.

In his three short years of life, Milo has already been in four different homes, not due to any fault of his. It is no wonder then, when United Yorkie Rescue's angel came to get Milo from the shelter, saw he was very scared, his tail was tucked, he eyes wide, and he didn't approach her. He no longer could trust people. His rescue angel sat down on the ground at Milo's level and held out a treat. Milo approached, slowly took the treat, and the next thing you know he was curled up in her lap. He loved his foster home and was very happy there. Still we knew he had one more home in his life and that would be his forever home. Today that happened.

Milo got the very best home that he could ever want or want. He has a fur sister he already loves. He has a wonderful fenced yard to run around in with his new sister. He will have lots of toys and treats. Best of all he has a mom and dad who is home a lot of the time to be with him, which he loves more than anything. We are so happy for Milo and we know he will have the happiest life ever.

I have a great new mom. I love her a lot
Prada

7/19/21 Prada has found her Furever home, which comes with a big sister Shitzu named Bree and a little bird named Fuzzy. She and Bree are already adjusting quite nicely. She is not sure yet about Fuzzy but they will figure it out! Prada came to us as a case of neglect and hadn't seen a vet in 6 years. Her foster Mom says that now that she is all fixed up and feeling great, she seems to get younger every day! Her new mom is retired and has all the time in the world to spoil her and is looking forward, down the road, to some long road trips with Prada. Prada loves riding in the car so that will be a happy time for her! Happy Tails Prada, you have the most wonderful forever home.

I love my new mom and dad.
Maddie

7/14/21 Little Maddie has had an interesting life to be so very young. Her previous owners who loved her very much found her on Craigslist when she was only 5 months old. They brought her into their loving home. Maddie was the only little resident dog in the home for several months, and then two other dogs came along, and Maddie definitely decided that she liked being the only princess in the home. Her surrendering parents worked very hard with Maddie to be a part of the doggie pack, but she continued to let them know she really wanted to be the only dog in her home.

Maddie was the only dog in her foster home and was as happy as could be. Her foster mom knew that Maddie's forever home had to be one in which she was the only dog. Today that is exactly the home she got. Maddie has a stay at home mom and dad. She will get to go on long walks, have lots of play time, and more than anything she will get all the love and attention that her little heart desires. We are so happy for little Maddie. Have a wonderful life sweet girl.

I love my new mom and dad and they love me too.
Buttons

7/9/21 Little puppy Buttons was roaming the street with a prolapsed rectum and worms. He was rushed to the shelter where he had immediate surgery to fix the prolapse and get neutered at the same time. That was a lot for a 3 month old small puppy to go through after roaming the streets for no telling how long. After the surgery Buttons was given medication to get rid of the worms and to help the healing of the repair to his rectum. The shelter didn't wait even a day to know that a puppy that young does not belong in the shelter. They contacted United Yorkie Rescue asking if we would take the puppy into our rescue. YES!! There was only one answer to that question, and that was yes!

Buttons did great in his foster home. Day by day he got better and better while his amazing puppy personality came out. His foster parents found him to be energetic, happy, funny, and loving. They knew he needed an active family, someone who would be home with him because he loves people that much, a friend to play with, and a house with enough safe places to run around in, inside and out.

Today Buttons got that perfect home and family. He has a stay at home mom and a dad who works from home sometimes too. He has a young fur friend to play with as well as two legged friends for more fun and games. They are ready to take care of Buttons for his whole long life. Buttons the puppy will never find himself, alone, and sick, and roaming the streets ever again. Buttons, your foster mom and dad and foster fur brother will miss you a lot, but we are so happy for you and your forever happily ever after.

Biggie Smalls
Biggie Smalls

6/12/21 Today Biggie Smalls found his forever home with a wonderful couple and a fur sibling :-). Congrats Biggie!!! Biggie Smalls was just so comfortable on his way to his "furever"! It was going to take someone very special and "Yorkie savvy" to adopt this baby, and my prayers were answered! All 3lbs of this little nugget could be a Tasmania devil when first approached, but this was easy for his new momma and dad. He even is enjoying his new fursibling Bob. I'm so going to miss your snuggles and sweet kisses. Happy furever my precious baby boy!!

I was adopted with Max. We have a wonderful new home and mom and dad. We will always be together.
Charlie (and Max)

6/12/21 Charlie and his brother Max were adopted today--together! Charlie and his brother Max were adopted today-- together! When Charlie and his brother Max's owner could no longer keep them because of a serious life event the boys were wondering would they get to stay together. These boys have been together for their whole lives since puppyhood. United Yorkie Rescue assured Charlie and Max they would never separate them. They would always be brothers together. Today they were adopted into a wonderful home with a loving mom and dad. The boys are going to be so spoiled. They will be going with their new mom for coffee every morning and get to meet some other dogs also out for their morning stroll. The boys have a lot of toys, doggie beds, and even new outfits to dress up in. Their new mom and dad will be home with them a lot of the time so they will get so much attention, love, and petting. Charlie and Max will be living their best life ever. We are so happy for Charlie and his brother Max. Happy Tails, boys.

Look how much my new mommy loves me. I am so happy.
Lily

6/12/21 Little Lily was adopted today. Lily was very loved by her previous owner who had some changes in her life and her home. Sadly, she knew she could no longer care for Lily's needs. Even at 13 years old she is active and spunky and loves to be held in her person’s arms all day long. She is surely a very lovable little lady. Lily did well in her foster home and when she got the veterinary care she needed she was ready for her forever home. Today little 4-pound Lily went to the perfect home. She will be the center of her new mom's life. It took less than 5 seconds for Lily and her new mom to know they were meant to be together forever. It was definitely a case of love at first sight for them both. Lily’s new mom is retired and will be giving Lily so much love and cuddles. Lily to get to meet all her new human relatives. She even has a new fur brother and sister who are just about her age. There is a nice fenced yard and all the comforts any pup would ever need and want. Lily is ready for the rest of her life. It is going to be GREAT!

I have the best family any dog could ever want. I am so lucky.
Turbo

6/7/21 Turbo was adopted today. Who said a senior dog is too old to be adopted? Certainly not Turbo.Today this 15 year old senior boy found the rest of his life forever home. Turbo's first owner who had him since he was a puppy passed away. When she passed she left Turbo to her granddaughter. Unfortunately, as much as her granddaughter wanted to keep him, Turbo needed some medical care she was unable to get for him. Turbo needed to have all his vaccinations updated, he needed a dental, and like many older dogs he had some fatty masses on his body that needed to be checked out by a vet and if necessary removed. Turbo got the vetting care he needed as well as a great foster home where he received lots of love and care. Today Turbo found his new forever family. He has a fur sister and some human brothers and sisters too. It only took a minute before they loved Turbo and he loved them right back. His foster mom knew the minute Turbo walked into their house he was home and Turbo knew it too. This 15 year old senior dog is playful and happy. He still has lots of life in him yet. Turbo wants to tell you, please don't pass us older ones by. We have lots of life and love still to give and we are so grateful for the forever home you have provided for us no matter how many years we have left. Happy Tails, Turbo, you deserve this.

I got adopted today. I know I will be so happy.

I love my new mom and dad.
Harlan

6/6/21 Harlan was adopted today. Harlan was with his former mommy since he was a puppy, but sadly she had to move and couldn't take Harlan with her. It broke her heart to leave him. Harlan adjusted slowly to his foster home. He missed his mommy. It took a few days, but finally Harlan decided that his foster family was okay and he was going to be just fine there. He felt like it was his job to protect his new home and family. His foster mom worked to assure Harlan that he didn't have to worry about them and he could just have fun being a young almost 4 year old pup. Harlan's foster mom knew Harlan needed a home where his new mom and dad would be very patient with him and let him adjust at his own pace. Today that is exactly the family he got. They know he will need patience and loveand understand while he becomes a part of his new family. He will have all their attention as the only fur baby in their lives. He won't be left alone very often and he will get to go with them whenever and wherever they can take him. There is even a perfect fenced backyard for Harlan. He can run around and play and when he is tired he can soak up the sun. Harlan will have the best forever life of his life. Happy Tails little Harlan.

My new mom and dad love me so much already.
Kazie

5/29/21 Kazie, the sweetest little tripod, was adopted today. Kazie came from the shelter. Her owners sadly surrendered the 10-month-old puppy because they couldn't afford to have her leg repaired. They hoped the shelter would have someone who could help her. Kazie had been attached by a dog. It was so bad that the dog broke the bone in leg. There were bite wounds all over. One bite was so severe it was oozing. When the call came from the shelter United Yorkie Rescue was there to get Kazie within an hour.

The vet was able to repair Kazie's leg by putting a rod in it. After a month the bone healed and the rod was removed, but no matter what her foster parents did to rehabilitate that leg so Kazie would use it, she never did. A few weeks later the Kazie developed and infection in her lower leg. The vet knew there was no alternative but to amputate her leg. Dog bites are notoriously dirty, their mouth contains a lot of bacteria. Even with two rounds of antibiotics and irrigation of the wound a few times as well as treating it with antibacterial cream, the bacteria won. Her leg was full of infection.

After the amputation Kazie was the happiest little girl without that leg. Within days she was up and around and by the end of the first week she was running a little and then a lot and was the puppy she was always meant to be. She was ready for her forever home and today that happened. She has a wonderful stay at home mom and dad, a great big yard to run around in, which she loves, lots of toys, doggie beds, and even another dog to play with if she wants. They have promised Kazie to love her forever and give her the best life any pup could have. Kazie couldnt have asked for a better life. Her foster parents will miss her a lot, but they know Kazie is going to have a wonderful, happy life for the rest of her life.

I am going to my forever home with my new daddy.
Teddy

5/21/21 Teddy was adopted today. Teddy became a United Yorkie Rescue pup when his mom developed some serious health issues and was no longer able to care for him. Sadly, Teddy hadn't received much vetting care in the past few years. At his foster home he went for a grooming and had his vet appointment. He passed with flying colors. He had a yeast infection in both ears and that was treated with medications. Teddy got his neuter and dental and after his recuperation he was ready for his forever home. Today Teddy went to his forever home and now has a great daddy that is all his. Teddy's new daddy is home all the time and Teddy will be the center of his life. Teddy will have so much love and attention and care. Welcome to the rest of your happily ever after, Teddy.

My forever home is so nice and calm and I love it here.
Harry

5/19/21 Harry was adopted today. This sweet boy lost his first mommy. For the first almost 3 1/2 years of Harry's life it was just Harry and his mommy. They lived a quiet, happy life. Then his mommy was gone and Harry went to live with another family. This family loved him, but Harry was so unhappy. There were so many people, and so much noise, and a baby who wanted to run after him, add into all that a big German Shepherd. Harry spent his time retreating into a safe space where no one could bother him. They knew that as much as they loved him, their home was not the right one for Harry. They asked United Yorkie Rescue to find a home for him where he would be happier. Harry did great in his foster home. He loved the calm and quiet. He loved the attention and love, and he loved have one little doggie friend. Today Harry found a forever home that would give him everything he loved in his foster home, a quiet home with a doggie friend. There was also a bonus. He has a great big fenced yard. Harry is so happy in his forever home. Harry got a home with everything he needed and wanted. Happy Tails sweet Harry. You will have the best life ever.
