I love my new mom and dad and they love me.

3/26/22 Chewy was adopted today. Chewy's former owner could no longer give Chewy the time and attention he needed. They know this sweet, affectionate, little lap dog needed a home where he could get those things his owner could no longer give him. Chewy's foster mom knew Chewy needed a home with a mom and dad who would be home to give Chewy all that he needed. Today he found that perfect forever home. He has the life he always wanted and a mom and dad who would be home with him most of the time . He even has a screened patio and a little fenced area to hang out in. He will be the only dog and the center of their life. We are so happy for Chewy. Happy life little guy.

My new mom and dad are great

3/26/22 Dave was adopted today. His former family had to work a lot and then some babies came and Dave was spending too long alone in the crate. His owners knew that was not right for a sweet, active dog who needed more attention and activity than they could give him. Dave's foster mom found that Dave got along with everyone, grown people, dogs, even kids. Knowing that it was important to find exactly the right family for Dave that is just what she did. Dave is one lucky dog. It was love at first sight when Dave met his new mom and dad, and they felt the same way. Dave immediately felt right at home in his new forever home.

He has a mom and dad and human brother who will be with him much of the time. He has a nice big fenced yard to run around in. He has toys, will get to go on fun trips, and will have the best time of his life. Life just got so wonderful for Dave. It is really his Happy Tails.

I am a lucky boy!

3/25/22 Lou was sad in his busy home with lots of young kids and big dog sibling. It was overwhelming for him and he lacked the one on one time he craved. Now Lou has his very own perfect person he can claim as his and his alone. He has a lifetime of happy tales (and tails) ahead of him!

I am so happy to get adopted!

3/20/22 Bandit was adopted!

Bandit found his forever home today! Bandit was surrendered when his previous owners had some significant life changes that kept them from looking after Bandit properly. Bandit’s new dad, James, found Bandit’s profile online and knew this was the pup for him.

James previously had a yorkie mix for 12 years who last year made his journey over the rainbow bridge. Gratefully, James has a lot of room left in his heart for a new buddy. While Bandit’s foster parents and brother will surely miss him, we are all very excited that Bandit and James are starting on a new adventure!

I am finally HOME!

Happy Tales, Roxie!! Roxie was adopted on 3/6/2022!!!

Sadly, Roxie did not have the best start in life. Her first owner kept her in a crate for hours on end. This owner decided to place Roxie for sale on Craigslist because, sadly, he didnt care what happened to her as long as he walked away with some cash. Fortunately, an angel saw Roxie on Craigs List and purchased her to save her from potentially falling into the wrong hands. This angel had Roxie groomed as she was matted to the skin. She also had her spayed. After having Roxie for a few short months, this angel knew it was time for Roxie to find her last true forever home. That was when she contacted United Yorkie Rescue and we gladly took her into the UYR Family.

Roxie spent the last 3 months with her foster family. While there she was getting diagnosed and treated for orthopedic issues. Despite her challenges in life, Roxie is the sweetest girl who loves to be cuddled and being with her those that love her.

Today Roxie has been adopted to a wonderful couple that is committed to keeping up with her treatments and give her the proper care and exercise. When she first met her new loving family, her Daddy carried her around like the princess that she is. We know there will be many hugs and cuddles in her future! Congratulations Roxie and to her new family!

3/5/22 Adorable little Klaus found his perfect forever home today! Conratulations...your foster mommy and brothers will miss you.

I have a new family and I love them already

2/27/22 Little Elmo was adopted today. This tiny little boy was found lost and wandering the streets. A Good Samaritan found him and brought him out of the cold and into the shelter. United Yorkie Rescue was called, and within 24 hours, took him from the shelter into his foster mom's warm and loving home. Elmo needed a lot of medical care. He had severe periodontal disease and bone loss in his jaw. He had a big area of hair loss on his back either from fleas or a yeast infection. It took a while, but Elmo received all the care he needed medically as well as the love he craved. Finally, Elmo was healed and ready for his forever home. Today that happened. Elmo has found his Furever home! He settled into his new home and into his Mommy and big sister's arms right away, and while his new Mommy knew he was "the one" Elmo seems to think the feeling was mutual. While we know nothing about the first 12 years of this itty bitty boy's life, we do know that he will be getting all the loving care and undivided attention that he most likely never received. He is adored and we are happy to know that he is getting the life he deserves. Congratulations Elmo!

I found my furever home!

2/26/22. Louie has been adopted!

Louie found his forever home today and it was worth the wait! Louie had much pain and suffering to deal with in his past, from a large tumor on his face, to badly infected teeth and needing to have them all removed. It was a long journey to recovery - and what a recovery he had made! He went from being able to walk less than 5 minutes outside, to being able to walk for miles at a time, and more importantly loving it. It took a couple of months for foster mom to see him wag his tail for the first time, and now he does it all the time.

Today, he was able to meet his new family that will give him all the love, attention, and support he will ever need. We are so happy for Louie and wish him the best in this second, and best chapter of his life yet!

I am finally HOME!

2/15/2022 Junior has been adopted!!!

Junior was an owner surrender due to a change in their living conditions. UYR happily brought him into our Foster Home Program. Junior is an adorable teeny-tiny little smart fella who now enjoys being walked on a leash and has a loving home to give him all the attention he deserves. Junior can now sunbathe all he wants and take some good afternoon naps. He even has a new sibling he can start to bond with. Junior loves his new home and thanks everyone for helping him settle in and enjoy life!

Jackson found his happily ever after.

2-12-22 Jackson was adopted today. Jackson was owned by an elderly man who had to go into a nursing home and was not allowed to take Jackson with him. A kind neighbor offered to take Jackson into her home so that he wouldn't have to go into the shelter. She knew that a shelter was not the best place for such a sweet little guy. And so Jackson became a United Yorkie Rescue pup.

Jackson is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his person. He is almost perfect. He loves belly rubs and going on walks, and he loves to play fetch with his toys. Being an 11 year old fellow he has his few medical issues, but that doesn't stop Jackson from loving his long walks, playing with his toys, and with other dogs. He is a happy fellow who just loves to snuggle and sit with his mom and dad.

Today Jackson got a wonderful new family. He has a wonderful new mom and dad who will take him on long walks, play with him, and give him all the love, cuddles, and snuggles he will ever want. Jackson will spend the rest of his days living his best life with his wonderful new mom and dad.

Rocky and new mom

Feb 2, 2022 Even when you're at the young age of 16, that special one comes along and says, I can love him and give him his fur-ever! This sweetheart of an angel, United Yorkie Rescue Rocky, whom I lovingly called my lil Rocket Man, will have his fur-ever for the last time in his life. He was soooo loved by his amazing family and they are smiling knowing that this adorable young senior has an amazing family to love him fur-ever. God bless you Crystal for choosing this rescue baby to be yours! He most definitely will rescue you right back! Xoxo
