Bio Update 12/5/24: Daisy has had her spay and mammary tumor removed and we are awaiting results on that biopsy. In the meantime, she is definitely feeling better and her little personality is coming out. We have discovered she is a shoe thief she doesnt chew on them she just likes to snuggle them in her bed. She is capable of stealing shoes even bigger than she is (as shown in the new picture). She is a real cutie.
Initial Bio 11/6/24: Daisy (aka Chiquita) was recently pulled from the City of Los Angeles North Central Animal Shelter. She had many medical issues which we are in the process of addressing. She will need a dental, spay, have mammary tumors removed and have her eye and skin problems treated. She is a very sweet pup who is deserving of a new and healthier life. Thank you to all who have followed her story and donated through your pledges!

FL Cosmo
Meet Cosmo a 9 year old, 9 pound Morkie boy. Cosmo is being fostered in Dunedin, FL.
THANK YOU TO FL COSMO'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Sandy Pagnotta, Dan Clauser, Sandy Pagnotta, Marta Morera, Nestor Sanchez, Nestor Sanchez, stephanie Slack, Debra Frare, Yvete Vangeloff, Cheryl Scrupski, Wendy Henry
Update: 3/6/25 Cosmo here reporting in. I just had my dental and the Dogter got rid of all that yucky plaque! Some of my teeth were so bad, they just fell out and required some stitches and some had to be extracted but I was left with 17 pearly whites and I feel oh so much better!
And I have lost 3 pounds! I have one more to go, but my foster mom walks me a lot and watches my diet diligently, so that should happen soon. I love, love my walks! And foster mom says I am surprisingly good on the leash, considering I wasn't walked before because my mom wasn't well.
I adapt well to everywhere I go. Foster Mom took me to a friend's for the weekend and I got along with all the other dogs there, as well as the cat. I am learning how to do my business on my walks, but I still use my pee pad. Foster Mom is happy that I only need one pee pad no matter where I go and I faithfully use that, so you won't catch me lifting my leg all over the house! I am such a good boy.
Foster Mom says I am one of the sweetest fosters she has ever had. I get very attached to my human and just want to be near them. I sleep well and only bark a little when someone comes to the door or, at first, when Foster Mom leaves. But then I get quiet and go back to sleep until she comes home when I bark again and jump around because I am so overjoyed to see her!
I will be a sweet and faithful companion to whoever adopts me. Will that be you?
Update: 2/10/25 From Cosmo - my blood tests and urinalysis came back and my vet said all looks good, considering my age. A couple of slightly high levels which may be remedied after I have my dental as mouth infection can often affect blood tests results.
And I have lost 2 pounds! I have a couple more to go, but my foster mom walks me a lot and watches my diet diligently, so that should happen soon. I love, love my walks! And foster mom says I am surprisingly good on the leash, considering I wasn't walked before because my mom wasn't well.
I have a dental coming up and I know I will lose some teeth, but that's okay, because I know I will feel oh so much better without those bad teeth.
I am completely pee pad trained but foster mom has not given up on teaching me to go outside. But this was all I knew and I do get lots of praise when I go on the pee pad, which I have been doing 100% of the time.
I am a very sweet and loyal boy. I sometimes bark when I am left at home but then I stop. A fenced in yard would be nice, but not a requirement - as long as I get my walks in. I sleep though the night and I will make a wonderful companion doggie for the right home. Will that be you?
Update: 2/4/25 Cosmo was surrendered to United Yorkie Rescue when his Mom was no longer able to care for him. In his words.....my foster Mom tells me I am settling in nicely and seem to be very adaptable, especially after being in a transition home and a very exciting plane ride! She knows I need to lose a few pounds so is taking me on some nice long walks and carefully watching my diet. She says I am very good on the leash and I sure do enjoy my walks! She likes that I sleep through the night too. I went to the groomer today and I was a very good boy there too!
We have some work to do on my potty training, but I will go on the pee pads provided. I have a couple of vet appointments set up to get some blood tests and I need a dental, so stay tuned for the results of that.
Mom says I am a shy and very very sweet boy. I get along well with other dogs and people and my favorite thing to do is be close to my Foster Mom. Please keep in touch for more updates. In the meantime, if you think I might be a good fit for your home, we would love to hear from you!
Update 2/2/25:
Today was a very busy day we woke up early and took a long drive in the car. When we got to our destination there was a nice man Mr Charles who took us on a ride in his plane all the way to St Petersburg. When we arrived my foster mom was so excited to see me she had a sign welcoming me to her home. Foster Mom will be getting me groomed soon and she will tell everyone all about me. She is going to help me find my forever home.
Initial Bio 01/19/2025
Cosmo just arrived in his new foster home. Please be patient while foster mom gets to know me a little better. Update Coming Soon.

Gage (Brynlee)
Gage is a sweet boy 16wks old, 7-pound Yorkiepoo being fostered in Clearwater , FL.
THANK YOU TO GAGE'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Veronica Gonzales, Sandy Pagnotta, Nestor Sanchez
03/17/2025: Hi everyone, I completed my neutering appointment and now have had my shots and after a couple of weeks of recovery I will be ready to go to my forever home. I am all puppy, full of energy and I would love to have a sibling that likes to play as well. I don't enjoy being alone so someone who works from home or is retired would be best for me. I love going outdoors and sitting in the sun so a special wish of mine is a fenced backyard. My foster parents are still working with me on potty training but I am doing better. Please reach out to my foster family with any questions.
Updated Bio 1/31/25
Gage is the cutest little boy full of energy and ready to play. Gage went to the Vet on Tuesday to get his first round of puppy shots we also did bloodwork which came back today. Overall his bloodwork is good. He is a little anemic but vet says that probably due to the flea infestation. Now that we have that cleared up he expects to see that improve quickly as he grows. They did discover tape worms at his appointment so we have been treating for that these last 3 days. He still needs to finish his puppy shots, get neutered, and follow up to make sure we have the tape worms cleared up before he will be ready for adoption.
Initial bio 01/27/2025
Gage just arrived he is the sweetest boy. Upon arrival we noticed he was infested with fleas. Foster mom gave him a bath in dawn along with Capstar to kill the fleas. He has a few sores on his little body from the fleas. We will get those taken care of tomorrow along with his shots. He will be getting neutered soon. Once all of his vaccines, neuter & recovery are complete he will be ready for adoption. Please be patient as we get him up-to-date and ready to go. He loves to cuddle.
To date we've spent $920.67 on Gage (Brynlee)'s vet bills, but with your support we've collected $130 in donations.

Lexi
Lexi is a 3-year-old Yorkie Mix who weighs 15lbs and is being fostered near Palm Coast FL.
THANK YOU TO LEXI'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Cynthia Kirk-Morgan, thank you for Chibi who is the joy of my life!, Mara Tongue; Thank you UYR for without you we would not have Bella!, Wendy Henry, Cheryl Scrupski, Yvette Vangeloff, Nestor Sanchez
Update 3/7/25: Meet Lexi a 3 year old 15lb Morkie (Maltese Yorkie). Lexi is a very sweet little girlie that has a past of being abused as a puppy. Due to her previous abuse she has become very guarded around newcomers. For this reason, she needs an owner that has lots of patience and will give Lexi all the time she needs to settle into a new home. She is a very active young dog and for this reason requires a fenced backyard. Also, Lexi must be the only dog in the home, with no children living in the household and someone that is home most all day to give Lexi allot of time, affection and attention. Lexi has never had a permanent home as she was shuffled from relative to relative due to her previous owner traveling for work so much therefor, she is in need of a place that she can call her home. She is in the process of being leashed trained but still gets very excited when she sees another dog. Lexi loves to run and play in the backyard chasing lizards. She especially loves a game of Tug O War. She is a very sweet girl but will need time and patience to learn to trust her person due to her past abuse. Once she knows she can trust her person or family, you are her world. She also wants to snuggle and sleep up against you to make sure you are safe all night long. Condo living would not be an option for sweet Lexi as she is very protective of herself and her family and will bark if she hears something she feels signals danger.
1/23/25
Lexi is back! She was surrendered by her recent adopter because she wasnt getting along with the other dog in the home. It may be that Lex needs to be the only little pampered princess in the home. She a 3 year old ball of energy that loves to play. Lexi has has a few homes in her short life. She was removed from her first home at just 5 mos old as she was being abused as a small puppy. She was then adopted by a wonderful lady that eventually surrendered due to her feeling that she didnt have the time to commit to Lexi as she is a young energetic dog. Due to this, she has never had a stable place to live for very long and is so deserving of a home to call her forever home. Lexi loves to run and play in a fenced backyard chasing squirrels and lizards. Her ideal home would have a backyard for her to run and exercise in to work off some of her energy. A stay at home person would be ideal as she is young and needs frequent outdoor time. She is a great watch dog and is very loving and protective of her foster family. If you feel your home would be a fit for Lexi please fill out the adoption application to be considered.
01/06/2025
Lexi is a 3 year old 15lb Morkie owner surrender due to her past owner (out of feelings of love for what is best for Lexi) and not having enough time to give to this very active little girlie. According to Lexi's previous owner, she suffered from abuse as as a small puppy by her first owner and was removed from the home but shows no signs of even remembering the incidents and completely trusts and loves everyone she meets. This will be Lexi's third home since her birth and it MUST be her last and FOREVER home! She deserves to have a stable home with nothing but time, attention and lots of love. Since Lexi has been in foster care we have gotten to know Lexi's personality a bit over the past couple months. She loves attention, playtime and cuddles. She is absolutely a little sweetie. she loves to cuddle in bed at your feet where she feels she is protecting you. She does get along with other dogs in the home but can be a bit much for a much smaller dog as she is very active and wants to play hard sometimes and can be intimidating to very small dogs. Her prefered home would have a dog her approximate size and age that loves to play as much as Lexi does. Lexi has discovered lizards and loves to chase them in her outdoor time. She also loves a good game of Tug O' War! A fenced backyard would be awesome to run and play and wear out some of her activeness but is not a deal breaker. She just loves outdoor time. Lexi is also very much a great watch dog and spends her time in the window making sure no one gets near her home or her foster family that doesn't belong there. She gives off a good loud bark if she feels or sees someone getting to close to her backyard. Lexi is housebroken but needs help with leash training as she pulls when walking on a leash. This is an easy correction with a little time and just learning to walk by her person. She is very smart and catches on quickly. She will have her dental prior to her adoption. If you feel your home would be a great fit for this amazing little girlie please fill out the adoption application to be considered.

Sophie
Sophie is a 11 year old Yorkie girl who weighs 5 pounds and is being fostered near Stuart ,FL.
THANK YOU TO SOPHIE'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Bret Park, Barbara Burgess, Katerina Tully, Heather Manley, Ellen Chokreff, Elba Short, Angie Cagle, Nestor Sanchez, Wendy Fuhrmaneck, Mary Corbin, Sandy Pagnotta
3/15/25 UPDATE: Sophie had a dental cleaning with extractions on Friday. She also had two small mammary gland tumors removed. These tumors are somewhat common and have a greater chance of forming in older females who are not spayed or who are spayed later in life. Although Sophie had no idea what she was in for, she was a trooper and did very well under anesthesia. She is quiet and recovering nicely at home. Sophie continues to be a sweet girl, quiet most of the time, and easy going. Her potty habits have improved and she has lost about 6 ounces of weight.
We would like to place Sophie with a family who is home more often than not. Since she gets along well with other small dogs, a home with another dog would be a plus. Also, she seems to have a definite preference for men! Sophie favors her foster dad and lights up whenever he is home. Its quite adorable!
Thank you to the Bressmans at All Creatures Animal Hospital for taking such good care of Sophie. And a big thank you to all who have donated towards her medical costs. We appreciate it so much!
We will update again when her labs come back and her stitches are removed in about two weeks.
2/9/25: This little nugget arrived by special air delivery on a 4-seater Cessna plane! The pilot, Collin, with Pilots N Paws took great care of her, even letting her lay down on his lap during the flight. He said she was the best traveler and wore ear protection without a fuss. She looked so cute wearing the headphones. A big thank you to Pilots N Paws!!
Sophie is a SWEET, 11-year-old Yorkie, weighing just a bit over 5 pounds. She was a
much- loved member of her family who loved her enough to realize she needed a new
family, one who could provide her with more time and attention. Sophie's original owner passed away and family members stepped up to take care of her. She has not been
vetted yet since her little feet just touched the ground, but we wanted to introduce you to her right way. So far, she appears to be healthy, but she does need to lose some weight. We will have our vet tell us how much, but we think she needs to weigh about 4 pounds. So far, we know she is spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccination. She loves to go for walks and be with her humans, preferably on a lap! We are told she is housebroken and so far so good at her foster moms house. She is being fostered with other small Yorkies close to her size and she is very friendly
with them, wagging her tail and engaging in mutual sniffing. We will keep you all posted as we learn more about this adorable sweetheart.
02/08/2025 Initial Bio: Sophie just flew into Stuart to meet her new Foster mom. She will update bio soon as she get to know this precious little girl.
To date we've spent $2861.96 on Sophie's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $570 in donations.
For more information, contact my foster parents at: proudyorkiemom@gmail.com.

Iowa
Cosmo
Meet Cosmo, 5 mos old, male Yorkie Mix puppy being fostered in IA. Adoption applications are not being accepted at this time.<
THANK YOU TO COSMO'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Wendy Fuhrmaneck, Angie Cagle, Sandy Pagnotta, DeAnn Deutsch
THANK YOU TO COSMO'S FACEBOOK DONORS!
Robin Nyberg, Karry Rogers, Jane Montford
Update 12/1/2024: Cosmo is 7 mos old today and weighs 9lbs. He continues to grow and thrive. Foster family is working with Cosmo to understand, it is not cute to lift his leg and do whizzies in the house, targeting such things as backpacks and other items which do not belong to him. He is exhibiting typical juvenile, older puppy behaviors. Foster mom has attempted to use belly bands, however Cosmo does not think belly bands are fashionable and is quite clever in using different tactics to remove them. Cosmo makes several tips outside to do potty training and his Foster family will continue to work with on his housetraining!
A DNA and health test was ordered for Cosmo to confirm his breed and health status given his terrier appearances and rapid growth. Suprisingly the results of the DNA test confirmed Cosmo is a 100% Yorkshire Terrier. Cosmo's health results revealed an increased risk of developing Progressive Retinal Atropy due to inheriting both copies of the variant. This is a retinal diseases which could lead to early stage of blindness. The results will be shared with the dogtor, and could require further consultation and a specialized opthalmologic exam to develop a long term monitoring plan for Cosmo.
He will remain in foster care until he is old enough to be neutered.
Update 11/1/2024: Cosmo is 6 mos old today and weighs approximate 8lbs. He continues to grow and thrive. Foster family also continue to monitor the eye for changes, and will follow up with the vet for re-check in the next month or so. He will remain in foster care until he is old enough to be neutered.
Update 10/1/2024: Cosmo is 5 mos old today and weighs approximately 7lbs. Foster mom and dogtor are suspecting he might not be 100% Yorkie, given his rapid weight gain and growth. Will continue to monitor his left eye for changes. Left appears to be slightly smaller than the left. Dogtor is estimating Cosmo could reach an adult weight 10-15 lbs.
He is an extremely active and happy puppy. His favorite activities include running in the backyard with his foster sister, zoomies, and being around humans. Cosmo continues to teeth like crazy, as most puppies do, and has to be monitored daily. He is given teething toys, and sterile bones but on occasion will slip away and chew on things he should not.
Occasionally, he gets a naughty streak and will pirate belongings which do not belong to him. His favorite place to treasure hunt is the the older children's rooms, prompting a game of chase by crabby children who are not amused with Cosmo's shenanigans.
We continue to monitor his left eye for changes. He will remain in foster care until he is old enough to be neutered.
9/10/2024: Cosmo weighed in today at 6.2 lbs. at 19 weeks. The dogtor performed a corneal stain and was very pleased with the results, which reflected the eye ulcer has healed. The corneal stain did show there is some scarring. This could dispear overtime, or remain. Cosmo received his Rabies vaccine today.
We will continue to monitor his eye to ensure he does not have a dry eye condition, could require regular application of eye drops for life.
He will remain in foster care until he is old enough to be neutered.
8/27/2024: Cosmo's 2 week re-check occurred today. He weighs 4.86lbs at 17 weeks. The dogtor performed another Corneal Stain today and was pleased with the results of healing progress. Another Grid Keratomy was performed to continue healing of the ulcer. The stain did reflect some scarring on the eye.
Puppy vaccine booster was administered today to help Cosmo catch up on vaccines.
Additionally, foster mom will continue to administer antibiotic and serum eye drops.
Next re-check will dogtor will occur in 2 weeks.
8/1/2024: Cosmo had another vet visit today. His current weight at 13 weeks is 3.5 lbs. The dogtor indicated Cosmo is thriving on his healthy diet, and has fully recovered from pnemonia! We are proceeding slowly with puppy vaccines.
Another corneal stain check was completed on Cosmos's left eye, which showed the ulcer is still prominent, and there's quite a bit of scarring. The dogtor performed a Grid Keratomy, with local sedation on Cosmo's eye. This is a technique performed to treat eye ulcers and stimulate healing. Treatment will continue with antibiotic and serum eye drops with a re-check in 2 weeks. Vaccines.
7/18/2024: Cosmo had a vet visit today to continue monitoring his pnemonia status and progression with treating the eye ulcer in his left eye. His weight has increased from 2.lbs to 2.8 lbs.
The dogtor performed a corneal stain test on the left eye, which determined the eye ulcer is still prominent. As a result, Cosmo's eye treatment will now consist of 2 eye drops 4x daily - continuing with an antibiotic eye drop, along with serum eye drops. Additionally, Cosmo continues to battle pneumonia which will require a second round of antibiotics to continue treatment. Vaccines are on hold until Cosmo is fully recovered.
Stay tuned on more updates as we continue to monitor and learn more about Cosmo's eye condition.
Initial Bio 7/13/24: Little Cosmo was released to United Yorkie Rescue due to serious health related issues. This sweet baby arrived today with a crusty, squinty eye. The doctor says Cosmo has an eye ulcer, and infection which could potentially be the result of a dry eye condition, or traumatic eye injury. Additionally, Cosmo was diagnosed with pneumonia, which adds to the complexity of his current condition.
Please keep Cosmo in your thoughts as he fights to get healthy. Cosmo will likely need substantial vetting, including veterinary care with a doggy ophthalmologist/eye dogtor.
Donations would be greatly appreciated to help Cosmo on his journey to health.
Stay tuned for updates from Cosmo's foster mom as we learn more from upcoming dogtor visits. Please contact Cosmo's foster mom for more information at iayorkiemum@gmail.com
To date we've spent $447.2 on Cosmo's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $951 in donations.
For more information, contact my foster parents at: iayorkiemum@gmail.com.

Buddy Boy is looking for a new home this Christmas. Buddy is not your typical yorkie, he is a BIG cuddly teddy bear. Don't let his age fool you. He is 12 years young. He does not act like a senior dog. He loves to play with his toys tug-of-war, fetch, etc. He loves to chill on the couch watching tv with his person. He is awesome with children. He and his foster mom's 2-year-old grandchild are the best of friends. Buddy is a happy healthy boy. He does have glaucoma which is being managed with eye drops twice a day. His Vet says his pressures are great! If you think you could give Buddy, the pawfect home for the new year please fill out an application. And make this baby a happy boy.
Update: 11/8/2024
Buddy Boy is doing great in his foster home. Foster mom cant believe he hasnt been adopted yet. He is the sweetest baby. He loves to hang out with his person. He plays fetch and tug of war. He loves to go outside and check out his surroundings. He does great with other dogs and children and his favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. Buddy may be older but you would never know it. If you feel like you would be the perfect family for Buddy, please complete an application.
Update: 10/14/2024
Buddy Boy had to go to the vet today. Over the weekend foster mom noticed a bald spot on his back leg it was bothering and he had licked so much his hair come out. The spot kept getting bigger. We gave him Benadryl which didnt really help and foster mom gave him a bath with antibacterial shampoo. The vet says its dermatitis. She gave him an antibiotic and steroids. Update: 10/04/24
Buddy is a beautiful yorkie boy who is being fostered near Clarksville, TN. Buddy has a very sad story. Buddy was returned to UYR today. He was found with his deceased owners by police after a wellness check was requested at his residence. It appears to have been a home invasion. It is believed that Buddy was in the home alone for 4 days with his mom and dad. He was taken by animal control to the Humane Society. Where he stayed for over a week. As soon as we heard about this tragic event, we immediately began working to bring Buddy back to UYR. We worked with Humane Society to ensure Buddy had his medication for his glaucoma. As you can imagine Buddy has been through a lot. However, Buddy is doing very well. He seems to be happy and active. He loves attention and definitely likes to be around people. He does great with other dogs and children and his favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. As Buddy adjusts to his foster home we will update you on his progress. Buddy needs an extra special furever home. If you feel like you would be the perfect family for Buddy, please complete an application.
Update: 01/13/2024
Buddy Boy is a beautiful yorkie boy who is being fostered in Murfreesboro, TN. Buddy is 12 years young. Buddy will need to be adopted no more than 200 miles from his foster home. Applications greater than 200 miles will be considered if its the right fit for Buddy Boy.
Buddy Boy came to UYR when his owner surrendered him because they could not care for him. His owner tells UYR that Buddy gets along well with other dogs and well-behaved children.
Buddy Boy continues to get along well with his foster brothers and sister and enjoys being outside. He is sweet and loves belly rubs.
Buddy Boy is neutered and microchipped and visited the veterinarian on 01/09/2024. Buddy Boy was negative for heartworms, but positive for one type of parasite and was started on treatment immediately and the rest of his blood work looked good. Buddy does have glaucoma and will need eye drops to control his eyes pressure. Buddy Boy will go for a dental cleaning during the week of January 15th.
We continue to work on his potty training, and he is improving every day. Buddy has been a sweetheart and if you are looking for a companion, he could be your valentine!
If you are interested in adopting Buddy Boy, please complete an adoption application. See the link on our home page www.unitedyorkierescue.org. If you need any information, please email Buddy Boys foster dad at jam4bama@unitedyorkierescue.org.

Cooper was a real trooper he came out of surgery fine and doesn't even act like he just had surgery. Today the Vet called to go over the results from his blood tests. Cooper is positive for whip worms so for the next 3 months he will have to take medication to get rid of those pesky worms. His bloodwork overall was good. However, one of the Heart enzyme levels is elevated. This could mean he has a very small heart murmur. We will be scheduling chest X-rays and EKG as soon as we can. THANK YOU TO JOEY'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Joel Tobiansky, Yvette Vangeloff, Sandy Pagnotta, Lauren Satterfield
Updated Bio 2/5/25
Meet Joey! He is from a breeder release. We are happy they reached out to Rescue because Joey hasn't received any Vet care since he was born. He came flea infested and matted. Foster Mom took action as soon as Joey arrived. He had a much needed bath, received treatment for the fleas and she carefully cut out the knots in his hair till his coat was silky and trimmed up nicely. No more fleas, he took his grooming like a champ! It wont take long for his skin to heal from the flea bites. He had his Dogtor's appointment this week and he was old enough to get all of his shots and will go in for his final booster and neuter on the 25th. He will be microchipped at that time. He will be ready for adoption as soon as he recovers from the neuter.
Joey is a doll! He has a gorgeous silky coat and he does not shed. He gets along well with the other dogs in home and sleeps on a pillow right by Foster moms head. He uses the doggie stairs with ease. Joey is playful and minds well for his age. He is very smart and trainable. Joey is gentle with Foster moms grandchildren as well. Meet Rocky! He has just came into rescue and was surrendered by his owner who wasnt able to give him the special care he needs. Rocky is suffering from a skin allergy that is causing itching and hair loss. He saw the Dogtor today and this is what was discovered. His ears have a severe yeast infection. The Dogtor cleaned both ears thoroughly and he has an ointment to put in twice daily for 14 days to help them heal. He also will be taking an oral medication for the yeast infection and an antibiotic for the skin infection for 14 days. He will have a dental when he has his recheck with the Dogtor for his ears. Rocky is being referred to a Dermatologist Specialist so we can learn the cause of his skin allergies. Rocky is a smart dog and well behaved. He takes his baths and grooming like a champ. Right now he has to bath in a special shampoo for his skin every 4 days. He gets along with other dogs and loves to sleep with Foster mom. He is a young dog and deserves a family of his own to live his best life. He is smart and playful and walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Sawyer is the cutest little boy full of energy and ready to play. Sawyer went to the Vet on Tuesday to get his first round of puppy shots we also did bloodwork which came back today. Overall his bloodwork is good. He is a little anemic but vet says that probably due to the flea infestation. Now that we have that cleared up he expects to see that improve quickly as he grows. They did discover tape worms at his vet appointment so we have been treating for that these last 3 days. He still needs to finish his puppy shots, get neutered, and follow up to make sure we have the tape worms cleared up before he will be ready for adoption.

Casper
Meet sweet Casper, a handsome 10 month old, 10 pound Yorkie mix boy being fostered in Austin, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
THANK YOU TO CASPER'S RESCUE ANGELS!
David and Diana Lavine, Sandy Pagnotta, David and Diana Lavine, Karry Rogers, Neil Gardner, DeAnn Deutsch, Neil Gardner, Neil Gardner, Neil Gardner
Update 3/9/25: Meet your new best friend! Casper is the definition of a cuddle bug. He wants to be with his people all the time and will gladly repay your love and constant presence with all his affection. Casper loves to chase squirrels in the yard with our resident dog. He does great with kids and is pretty much house trained. Hes only about 11 months old so every once in a while he might forget the rules and have an accident, but he promises hes doing his best! When meeting new dog friends he can sometimes take a minute to warm up but will quickly be down to play.
Casper recently had his 4 week follow up x-rays at the vet and his fractured pelvis is healing so well!! Hes cleared for almost all activities; the vet still wants him to avoid jumping for a few more weeks. Casper is scheduled to be neutered on 3/11 so he will be ready to go to his new forever home asap!
Casper would do best in a home where there is always a friendly face around. Hes not interested in being left alone and who would want to leave this cutie pie behind anyway? If youre looking for a new constant companion to bring you love and joy, Casper is your fella!
Initial Bio 2/9/25: This precious 10mth old United Yorkie Rescue baby has a story and I wish he could speak. Casper came to us through an area shelter. He was found limping and taken to a nearby ER. After assessment for unknown trauma, he was sent to the shelter. The shelter had x-rays performed due to heavy bruising in the inguinal area and around his scrotum. He was found to have a fracture in his pelvis. We have no idea what had happened to this sweet baby. What we do know is that we have this sweet puppy now and can guarantee you that he will have his best life ever.
Casper was immediately taken to our vet for assessment and he is on strict crate rest. This trauma injury could be one of abuse or something that had to have hit him fairly hard to cause the bruising under his tummy around the scrotum area. He can stand for a short time, but this is definitely painful so he sits within just a few seconds. He is quite wobbly as well on flooring. He is on crate rest, pain meds and a laxative while his body heals. His foster mom is currently assisting him with a sling for standing to help him urinate and defecate as this assists on the strain on him to perform these functions. We have a few months of healing before Casper will be ready for adoption, but please feel free to send your application in and or address your questions to his foster mom through the email listed below. As you may know, Casper's care will require continual x-rays, possible hydrotherapy, and cold laser therapy for his best healing. Your donations to his care would be greatly appreciated as we have another little girl who is currently receiving critical care for her medical trauma.
We thank you for your love, and bless you for all you do for our babies!
To date we've spent $938.12 on Casper's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $940 in donations.

 Cole

Cole TX
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
THANK YOU TO COLE'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Mark H, David and Diana Lavine
Update 3/4/25: March rolled in like a lion here in Texas. St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner so I just have to ask you one question. Are you feeling lucky and ready to meet a four leaf Cole-ver? Yep that's right, I'm talking about me and I'm looking to get lucky and find my furever home. Could it pawsibly be your home, could I maybe sneak into your heart and show you how much I'd love to steal, show all the love I have to share and how much I want to give you my heart?
Since I have been here, I have been such a very good boy. I am almost potty trained. I love to be near my foster mommy and I mean like right near her all the time. So if she leaves the room and I'm on the couch, I will bark until she comes and lets me down as I do not jump off couches or beds. I have been so good when she brings a new foster pup into our home. I am curious about them, but I am also very gentle with them as we get to know each other. I like other dogs that are small like me. I haven't been around any cats but foster mommy says I would probably be curious about them and not chase them. I still do not play with toys, but I do like watching the other doggos playing with toys.
I was such a skinny guy when I first arrived here but now I weigh a very healthy 12.8 pounds. The perfect weight for my handsome body frame. I like treats and I take them very gently from you. I also get so excited for supper time because it's always good eats here and even though I don't have any teeth, I can eat small kibble very easily. One of my favorite treats that foster mom and dad give me are called Pizza Bones. They give all of us a small snibble of the crust and boy do I savor that as it takes me a while to nom nom nom my through a pizza bone. Do you have any pizza bones you'd like to share with me?
My favorite hobby, which would be 24 seven if foster mom would let it happen would be to be super glued to you. I always want to be next to you whether you're doing something in the kitchen or you're in the computer room or on your iPad which Foster mom says that I have bought a couple of items from Amazon (teehee) as she didn't notice when I put it in the cart cuz I bump her elbow wanting her to love on me. I will follow you everywhere and anywhere and be so close to your heels that sometimes I will step on your house slippers. I guess I just want to show you I am right behind all the time to let ya know how much I would love you if you would just give me the chance. Foster mommy says I am just mellow yellow like Jell-O and I don't really want much other than to be next to you and nutritious food of course. I like to sleep in the bed with you and sometimes I like to get under the covers, but not very often.
So if you're looking for a four leaf Cole-ver and you want to be lucky for the rest of your life send your questions to my Foster Mom at
stickhors@gmail.com
We eagerly look forward to hearing from you ππΎππΎ
Cole and UYR Foster Mom, Shirley
Initial Bio 1/26/25: Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be.
The shelter is guessing Cole to be about 13 years old. They usually judge this on how the teeth look in their mouth. Sadly, Cole is toothless. That doesn't stop him from soft food and small hard kibble at all. What I did notice when we picked him up on January 8 was that it looked like he had been groomed six weeks to two months ago. His toenails were not overgrown. He had no burrs or stickers in his hair. He just looked so sad and confused.
The first few days here he found two spots where he preferred to hibernate. So we let him be with that until he felt comfortable enough to come out and greet the other dogs. That took about three days. Though he doesn't play with the other dogs, he does love to watch and see what they do especially when they're all outside in the backyard.
I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.
Give us a couple of more weeks as we get to know each other and Cole I will both report back in and give you our updates.

Initial Bio 2/15/25: Hello everyone! My name is Gummy Bear! I am a soft, cuddly bundle of energy! I love playing with all my toys, running, jumping and exploring everything. I am on the hunt for my furever family. I am looking for a family that has lots of energy just like me!! Kiddos that love to hug, run and play would be absolutely fantastic, but if my family is a single person or couple with lots of energy that's wonderful too! I just don't want to be left alone on my own for too long every day, I get a little barkie and tend to chew on things I shouldn't because I'm bored.
I know you're out there family. I've been to the dogtor and have had all my shots, neutered and quick dental to clean my pearly whites and had a baby tooth removed. Please fill out that application and come get me! I am waiting for you -- we'll be the best of friends and I'll love you more than anything.

Jenny TX
Meet Jenny, a beautiful little 6 pound little adult Yorkie girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
THANK YOU TO JENNY'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Sandy Pagnotta, Bret Park
Initial Bio 3/7/25:
Hello to all of our UYR family, friends and the rest of the world. I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Jenny and I am the newest and pawsitively the cutest girl at Stickhorse Ranch. I just got here yesterday on March 6. So we are just beginning to learn about each other.
Foster mom knows these things. I weigh in at 6 pounds. My age is unknown as I was a surrendered stray but I am definitely not a puppy. I am a more mature lady and my Dogter will guesstimate about how old I could be. I have an appointment to see our favorite dogter so he can give me a thorough examination and give me those shots I need, check for a microchip and to see if I have been spayed or not as foster mommy cannot find a spay scar or a tattoo on my tummy because I am a very wriggly girl and won't hold still for her for more than one second.
I have an appointment with the eye dogter specialist also to look at my right eye as we don't know what's going on in that eye and whether I can see out of that eye or not.
In the past 24 hours that I have been here I have shown my foster family that I will go to the door if I have to go outside and do my business. I am a very picky eater, I haven't played with any toys yet, and that I am a very good explorer. I quickly learned the ramps and how to get on top of the couch so I can look out the window like the other pups here.
I can't wait to show my foster family the rest of my personality as I get more comfortable here at my new foster home. So check back with me here in a couple of weeks for a new pupdate.
Woof,
Jenny

Koa
Meet Koa, a 10-12 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
THANK YOU TO KOA'S RESCUE ANGELS!
David and Diana Lavine, Sandy Pagnotta, Barbara Burgess, Mona Ray, David and Diana Lavine
Initial Bio 03/02/2025: I'm such a lucky pup. My name is Koa. This is a Hawaiian boy's name. Koa can mean brave, bold, fearless, or warrior. There is a reason why Foster mom gave me this name.
I have been in my foster home about 24 hours and what a whirlwind those 24 hours have been.
My journey starts with a nearby shelter, reaching out to UYR to see if they could help me. I was turned in as a stray and because of several medical reasons, I was given an early release if a rescue would step up to help me. UYR has NEVER said no to any pup especially a pup in my condition that needs their help.
So let me tell you about my first day with UYR. Foster mom and Foster dad picked me up as soon as they could on Saturday, March 1. As soon as Foster mom held me and looked at me she knew I needed immediate emergency help. She said out of all the foster puppies she's helped I was in the worst condition she has ever seen. My eyes were crusted shut, I had lime green snot running out of my nose. I was matted horribly with urine, feces, twigs and leaves in my hair and I smelled horrendous. Because it was a Saturday she immediately took me to VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group). We were quickly escorted into an isolation room and seen within minutes for the initial intake exam. It was decided that I needed to have everything checked out. This would take we were told up 2 to 4 hours. Well, it ended up being six hours and they did bloodwork, x-rays, clipped what they could off my body and clipped my toenails. They checked my eyes because one was crusted shut, and the other one was pretty close to being crusted shut. My teeth also were in the worst condition she has ever seen, my halitosis was very stinky plus and they checked me for many other things. My BAR score was 2/9. They could feel every bone in my body. I was put on antibiotics and given eye drops for my eyes.
I finally got to go to my new home, and foster mom and dad have a game plan for me.
So stay tuned for my pup dates. I know my pictures look terrible right now. So as soon as Foster mom gives me a bath (or many soap ups) and she will try to trim my hair a little bit that is if I let her. We will get the new pictures for you. These pictures were taken by the shelter. They show what terrible condition I was in.
My emergency visit to VEG was over $1100. We all know the saying "It takes a village". I am are asking our UYR village and friends that if you have a few extra dollars to spare, would you please consider donating it to UYR for my health care cost. You are able to Zelle it to uyrtreasurer@yahoo.com or you can use the PayPal link below. Your donations will be so so appreciated.
Thank you,
Ruv.

Meet sweet Lulu, a 9 year old, 7 pound little Yorkie girl being fostered in Leander, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
THANK YOU TO LULU'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Sandy Pagnotta
Pup-date 3/9/25: Hello UYR family! I am happy to report that I have been through my spay and dental surgery and am now ready for my forever home! No more pesky breeding for me. The dogtor told me those days are over and now its time to relax and enjoy life with a wonderful family that just wants to love me. I was a little upset to see that the dogtor took my last three teeth during my dental. She said they were just too bad to save. I guess it had to happen, but I still miss them. I also had a small growth removed from the top of my head which was no big deal, except the technician ruined my gorgeous hairdo. Now I have an odd flat spot on top of my head until my beautiful hair grows back. Foster mom and pop still say I'm just the cutest thing, so I guess I can't be too mad. I have really adjusted to life without breeding. I enjoy being near humans and like the occasional lap or couch time. I am super food motivated and enjoy every meal, snack, and treat that comes my way. I have a habit of taking a nap directly after a meal and I really enjoy a soft comfortable dog bed. I do great on a leash and I do give signals when it's time to do my business. But if you miss the signal, I'll normally find a puppy pad. I do miss sometimes, so I am working on that. I like to give a few barks to let you know it is supper time or if I need to go out. I am easily calmed down with a gentle touch since I do not hear well. I really want to find a forever home where I can be loved and cared for with as much attention as possible. I like other dogs and would enjoy being part of a pack, but would be fine as an only pup, too as long as my new parents have lots of time to spend with me. If you can find it in your heart, please contact my foster parents at uyryorkielovetx@yahoo.com or fill out an application using then link under my profile on the United Yorkie Rescue website (www.uyr.us).
Initial Bio - 2/21/25: Hello UYR friends and family! Meet Lulu, a precious 7.3lb, 9 year old little girl looking for her perfect forever home. Lulu came to UYR about a week ago surrendered from a life of breeding. Although she was a little producer, it is evident she was cared for and loved. She came with some teeth decay and a UTI, but all her blood work appears to be good and she is scheduled for a spay and dental next week. She will likely lose the remaining teeth she has, which is not many. She already has the oh so cute tongue hanging out of her mouth look that just melts your heart for the first look. While we are still learning all there is to know about Lulu, we have noticed that she does like human attention, likes to snuggle next to you on the couch, is somewhat puppy pad and outside potty trained. She had some accidents in the first few days, but we believe that was due to her UTI. The past few days have been nothing but great potties on a pad or outside. She will bark and run around quickly when she needs to out side. She loves to run in the yard and sleeps well through the night. From what we can see so far, she will need to be in an adult home with someone around most of the time. She has plenty of love to give and is excited to start her journey in her new forever home. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an application using the link under her bio on the UYR website.
To date we've spent $212.87 on Lulu TX's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $25 in donations.

Update 2/2/25: Hey everybody, it's February. Foster mommy tells me there's a sweet holiday in this month and I can't wait to learn about it. She calls it Valentine's Day and that there's a Cupid guy flying around with a bow and arrow matching pups like me and people like you together fur furever. I am ready for you to find me and my heart and take us home with you.
Since my last update, I have gotten really, really brave. I've learned how to navigate the whole house so I am feeling more and more comfortable here even if it took a while. My new thing is I'm going into the living room where foster mommy and the rest of the pups hang out and I'm wanting to hang out and nap with them. I let Foster mommy know when I want to get on or off the couch by putting my paws on her. Sometimes I even try and become a lapdog and try and sloth my way on her lap while she's answering emails and stuff so I'm learning how to share my love with my foster mommy now. The other day when we were all outside doing yardwork, I walked for the first time all the way around the covered pool two times. It was such a beautiful day outside. I decided to take to just chill on the sidewalk. So I'm getting braver and braver outside too. I don't know about that grass stuff though but I guess with time I'll learn how to walk on that too.
In December, I had my yearly check up. Everything looked good. So I'm good to go for another year. I do have to go see my eye doctor this month so she can check my eyes. I have to go twice a year. I don't need eye drops , but we want to make sure I'm not getting dry eye. But as you can see in my pictures I have the most beautiful eyes.
So that's about what's new with me. If you have any questions you can reach out to Foster mommy At stickhors@gmail.com
If you have any extra dollars in your wallet or purse, could you think about donating o United Yorkie Rescue. Your donations to them is what has helped me with all of my medical bills.
Thank you so much,
Sage
Update 11/09/24: Finally, it looks like Summer has left us and brought us well deserved cooler weather.
I forgot to mention in my last biography that UYR did take me to an eye specialist Dogter to see if anything could be done to help me regain some or any of my vision. They ran some tests and came back to tell Foster mommy the sad news that I had double detached retina, and they have been that way for a very long time and there really wasn't anything they could do for me. Fortunately I did not have dry eye syndrome so there are no need for drops. I do need to go see the eye specialist once the year so they can check my eyes and make sure I'm producing teardrops and I do not have dry eye syndrome. If that does happen to happen in the future, the eyedrop's aren't that expensive
Since I last checked in, I can let you know that I've learned to navigate more of Stickhorse Ranch and the backyard. I still love my foster daddy though, so I guess you can say I'm a boy dog looking for my Seeing Eye Hooman Guy. I like foster mom, but she's definitely not my favorite. I have the best doggy watch in the world. If I don't have supper in front of me at 6 PM, I will start doing circles and pacing up and down the hallway. I really am a sweet, gentle guy, I love snuggling with you and under the covers and in the covers. I do love to play with toys and I love playing with my treats before I devour them. I really am a very laid-back guy. I don't need much or ask for much other than you to be my special person to take care of me and spoil me the way I should be spoiled.
It will just take time for us to warm up to each other so if you were looking for a really special guy, I'm it. I will follow you Furever and ever. If you have any questions you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com
Update 9/10/24: Hello, Sage is reporting back in to tell you what's been going on in my life since July 19. I'd love to tell you a little bit more about me.
A very kind gentleman saw that I was with my buddy Kee. We were being sold by two homeless guys in a homeless camp. We were in terrible condition. Both of us were disheveled, full of fleas and dirty. We didn't have collars or harness or a leash. We both just kind of free roamed the camp. This really nice guy had such a Yorkie heart and felt so sorry for us that he paid the homeless guys money so he could take us home with him. First thing he did was give us a bath in his apartment. Boy did that feel good and then made an appointment for his groomer to get us a little bit more cleaned up and looking like a real dogs. I need to mention that Kee was my buddy at this homeless camp so he bought Kee also. We were so happy to get out of that horrible living condition and get away from all those homeless people. He found our original records which foster mom has a copy of. I have had most of my vaccinations, neutered, I have my very own microchip so if I ever get lost, and the microchip has been registered and kept up-to-date, I can find my way back home. After Kee and I were all nice and clean and we stayed with him for a week. He realized that I was totally blind because I bumped into the walls when I first got into his home. He reached out to United Yorkie Rescue (UYR). He was going to try and keep us, but he figured out that three Yorkies in an apartment was a bit too much for him. UYR jumped at the chance to help him and the both of us out. This is how we landed at Stickhorse Ranch in McKinney with our foster mom and foster dad and a few other foster dogs.
It has taken me a while to learn how to trust hoomans. I wish I could tell my foster family my living conditions in the homeless camp, but they suspect it wasn't very good as they learned about me, my habits, personality and quirks.
As soon as I got here, I attached myself to foster dad like a strong magnet. I have learned how to navigate the house very well. Because I am blind my other senses are heightened. I can smell food really good and I have super dog hearing. Foster dad accepts me as I am. I follow him everywhere all the time. I trust foster dad the most, probably because he has been the kindest man that I have been around so far.
I weigh in at 8 pounds and I am 5 years old so I am still a youngster. I am most likely all Yorkie with the mix of a couple of other breeds. I do have food guarding issues so I am fed in the bedroom where dad hangs out. FD helps me off the big bed and on the big bed. He has learned my signals on when I want to get up and down. I sleep with Foster dad every night. He gives me belly rubs and talks softly to me all the time.
I can get playful. FD says that when he initiates play that I will play "can I pretend I want to nibble on you" game with him. When I get a really cool treat, I will play with it for a few minutes. I will toss it up in the air and then sniff for it and do that several times and then I'll eat my treat. I do not mind being brushed gently and thunderstorms do not bother me. So now let us talk about what I would like in my beautiful and safe future home.
A male "seeing eye guy" as I prefer men over the ladies.
ABSOLUTELY NO POOLS.
NO CHAIN-LINK FENCES.
No doggie doors.
A very secure fenced in backyard.
Stay at home Pawrent.
My Pawrent will need to continue my training of going tinkle outside.
My future dad needs to have a lot of patience as we get to learn about each other.
Apartment living is OK with me as long as it is on the ground floor.
Having a very mellow fur buddy would be fine as I am not a big player with dogs or toys being blind and all.
Some very nutritious food and treats, lots of treats and lots of freshwater.
Most of all, I just want to find a guy that's gonna love me as much as I will love him.
If you have any questions, you can email my foster mom at the address below my biography. Below that you will also find a direct link for my application.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Ruv, Sage

Wrangler
Meet Wrangler, a 10-12 year old, 4 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
Initial Bio 3/4/25: Hello everyone, my name's Wrangler and I'm so happy to be part of the UYR Family! When I came to be with my foster Mom I was not feeling well at all. I just felt hungry all the time -- my beautiful fur coat had pretty much all fallen out and my skin was just plain translucent. I am an older gentlemen you see, but I really don't need to be sick from not eating well.
All the good folks from my UYR Family have changed that for me! I'm now eating good food on a regular schedule, I've been to the dogter and they took out all but one of my toofers and I'm neutered -- (not sure what that means but I do feel better), and I have all my shots!
Now I'm just waiting for that right furever person to come and adopt me. I'll bring you more love and joy than you can ever imagine!

Update 3/2/25: We have been fostering Zeus for almost 2 months now and are convinced he will make the perfect companion for some lucky family. Zeus says he is the most lucky charm youll ever find!
This senior pup acts younger than 15. When he goes on walks, he trots the whole way leading the pack. He stands on his hind legs and jumps to meet his foster human brother after school each day. He is so smart he figured out the puzzle feeder in about 5 minutes. He loves when it has apple pieces hidden in it. But, his favorite thing is to snuggle with his humans. He is a snuggle bug. If you are looking for a dog to cuddle with you while you read a book or snuggle up to you when sleeping, Zeus is your pup!
This adorable senior yorkie is ready to trade the rainbow for his forever home. Are you ready to take a chance on him?

Ready to meet your new best friend? Contact me!
Update 1/20/25: Today Zeus went back to the vet for his dental cleaning. Everything went well and he is home running around with his foster brother. His lab work came back earlier this week indicating he had a slight thyroid condition. We started him on meds for that. He has taken them without any problem.
We have learned that Zeus loves to go on walks. He does excellent on the leash. He is getting a daily walk now (weather permitting). He is SO excited when he sees us getting the harness and leash out. He is no longer wearing a belly band at night and has not had any accidents in the house in the past several days.
He is such a good boy in every way. If you are looking for a quiet, gentle soul who loves walks, rides in the car and lap time, then please submit an application. This dreamy pup deserves his own forever family!
Update 1/14/25: This senior boy is a bundle of love! I am in love with those beautiful big brown eyes and his gentle disposition. He is the sweetest!
He has done well acclimating to his foster family. He likes to be with his humans and has easily made friends with our dogs. He is usually curled up on his doggie bed next to humans, but when they move, he follows! He is interested in everything they are doing. His foster dad works from home, so he gets let outside often. When he goes outside, he does his business. He has been wearing a belly band overnight as a precaution.
He saw the vet today and did AMAZING! He was so relaxed on the car ride and at the clinic. Vet said his heart and lungs are great, and has good mobility. He does have hearing loss and partial vision loss, but overall, the vet said he looked good. We are waiting for his lab results and have scheduled his dental for next week.
A perfect home for Zeus would be with humans who are home most of the day who would love a bundle of love to keep them company. He is calm, rarely barks and gently whimpers to let you know when he needs something. If you are looking for the perfect lap dog with gorgeous eyes then Zeus might be perfect for you.
Initial Bio 1/10/25: Meet Zeus, a 15 year old Yorkie male. He came into the rescue this week after his previous owner made the difficult and unselfish decision to surrender him for a better life. He is a calm, sweet pup who loves to look out the window and watch the world go by. His gentle disposition will immediately capture your heart. He shyly ask to be petted, quietly observing everything. He is fine with my dogs, a 2 year old yorkie and 4 year old retriever. He does seem to have some hearing loss. He did great in the car ride home. I havent yet evaluated his potty situation, but will monitor him over the next few days. He will be vetted this coming week. Check back for updated on this special pup looking for his forever family.
To date we've spent $890.12 on Zeus TX's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $1212.84 in donations.

Beau VA
Meet Beau a 10 pound 7 year old (estimated)boy being fostered near Salem,VA.
THANK YOU TO BEAU'S RESCUE ANGELS!
Barbara Burgess, Lauren Satterfield, Wendy Fuhrmaneck, Veronica Gonzales, Angie Cagle, Elizabeth Broadway
Bio Update 01/30/2025
Beau is a ~7 year old male. He is fully vetted and ready for adoption. He is a sweet, loving boy that loves his people/family. He will pick one person to be his favorite. Beau loves to play with toys, loves a soft cozy bed and playing ball. He is a chewer and needs to have toys appropriate for him to chew. He has an unusual habit of sucking on a bed, blanket or towel. Anything soft he will suck on for a while. He rides good in the car and is good with a harness and leash. He's a good eater and will dance circles waiting to eat. He also loves a daily treat. He does have a couple bad habits that are easily worked around. He will often mark the house, even though he is neutered. A male belly band can be used to assist with this or taking him outside often. He eventually learned to use a doggie door. He will tend to nip if he is startled or fearful. He can be territorial with his bed and toys. I suspect he was not treated well at his previous home and reacts. Patience is the thing that has helped me with this. He likes to bark at people or animals moving outside. At night time he has his own crate that he gladly enters at bed time and sleeps all night. He is very much a lap dog and loves to cozy up with his people. He loves other dogs his size.
Updated Bio 10/12/24
Beau is a ~7 year old male Yorkie. He is up to date on his shots, microchipped and neutered. He has medium energy, loves dogs his size, loves to play with squeaky toys and a ball. He will sleep quietly all night in a pen or crate near his human. He loves to be near his human all day as well as cuddle and sleep on your lap while watching TV. He is not fully housetrained but will use the bathroom outside when taken. He has no current health issues. He does need to have his teeth cleaned which will be done on October 18. He will be ready for adoption once he has healed. His expected availability is October 25.
Initial Bio 9-20-24
Beau has just came into rescue please stay tuned for updates.
