Rufus and his new mommy and daddy. What a happy puppy he is
|
Rufus
8/11/18 Rufus is a very sweet, affectionate, and playful little puppy. He LOVES playing and cuddling with people and other dogs. This happy little guy needed a home with someone ready and able to play with him and give him the life he needed. Someone who would be okay if he still had an occasional accident because they would understand he is young and still learning. Rufus now has the perfect forever family. He has a mom and dad ready to continue to help him with his puppy skills. He has a home with a fenced yard (coming in a few weeks) and lots of friends in the neighborhood to play with. Rufus now lives so close to the beach and being a puppy what could be more fun than to run in the sand with his new family and new doggie friends. Rufus will have everything a young dog needs for a lifetime of fun and happiness and love and care. Rufus's tail will never stop wagging. For sure it will be a Happy Tails for him forever.

Miss Zoey has a forever mom and dad
|
Miss Zoey
8/11/18 Sweet Miss Zoey is a precious little senior princess. Her former owners sadly had to surrender her due to a change in their life situation. So at 12 years old little Miss Zoey needed a place to spend the rest of her days. Her foster mom said she is the sweetest little girl. She loves to be held and cuddled and sit on her foster mom or dad's lap. Miss Zoey has never met a stranger she didn't like, even though she may greet new people with a little bark just so they know she is in the house, then her tail starts wagging. She loves everyone. All little Miss Zoey needed was her forever family. Today she got that. Her forever mom and dad met her and loved her from the second they picked her up and knew this tiny 3.5 pound baby was for them. She will be their only pup and get so much love. Zoey knows she has found the home and the mom and dad who will love her for as long as she lives.

I found my forever home and family. I am so happy
|
Freddy
8-4-18 Freddy was adopted today. Freddy was surrendered to United Yorkie Rescue when his former owners realized they could not give Freddy the time and attention he needed. He needed a home where he could learn doggie manners and get some proper doggie socialization skills. Freddy did well in his foster home, though he still has more to learn about being the best dog he can be. Freddy is such a loving dog and gives kisses and loves to cuddle. He hoped his forever family would give him back lots of cuddles and kisses too. Today that happened. He found a wonderful new family now and they understand that Freddy will continue to need further training and help with his doggie skills. He has a new fur sister whom he loves already. His new mom and dad have pledged to Freddy this will be his very last and final home. They will continue to work with him and always care about him. They have promised to always and forever love him

Cosmo
8-1-18 Cosmo was adopted today. Cosmo found the best family ever. He was pretty sad when he was surrendered by his first family. They knew he needed more time then they could give him to work on his doggie manners. Cosmo did great in his foster home and learned a lot. He only needed a forever home of his own. Cosmo now has a stay at home mom and dad and a wonderful fur sister to play with. They have a screened in lanai and a doggie park not far away. They will take great walks several times a day, and there will be lots of indoor fun playing with toys. What a happy life for Cosmo. Happy Tails, sweet boy.
Cosmo came to UYR looking for a little more love and attention. Well, Cosmo hit the jackpot. First with his foster mommy and now with his furever family. As soon as Cosmo arrived at his furever home, he was greeted by his new fur sister who immediately fell in love with Cosmo. Then he was greeted by his human Aunt who gave him lots of hugs. Finally, his human parents. It was love at first sight. Cosmo explored his new home and found the perfect napping place on the back of the sofa. He also discovered his mom and dad's bed is the perfect place to sleep at night. Cosmo could not have found a more perfect furever home. Thank you to his new family for their unconditional love and attention they are giving to Cosmo. Happy Tails, Cosmo.

Bridget
07/22/18. Happy tails Bridget. Bridget was a girl looking for her "hu-man"! Although Bridget tolerated the women in her life she is extremely partial to men. We were so thankful when this beautiful high spirited little girl found true love. I heard from her adopter yesterday and they are both so happy to have each other.
Live a beautiful life sweet Bridget!

|
Asher
7/2/18 Sweet Asher was adopted today. This adorable, little 5 1/2 year old pup was adopted by his forever family today. They already love him so much. Asher was surrendered to us after being in at least 3 homes. His last home was in a sorority house, and when summer vacation came only one sorority sister was willing to take little Asher home with her - no one else wanted this precious little boy. When this girl arrived home, she was told that Asher couldn't stay and they had to find him a new home. Thankfully for Asher that new home was with United Yorkie Rescue. Today Asher was adopted by the most wonderful family. He has two human girls to play with him and love him every day. He will finally get all the care, love, and attention he needs. At last Asher is home to stay.

She has a wonderful fur brother who will now be her friend for life. She has a fenced yard for running and sunning. Ben and new family
|
Benjamin
06/23/18. So many hearts will be broken because we couldn't clone you.
We knew it wouldn't be long before someone fell in love with you (actually so many did) and would take you to be their baby boy pup!
We are so happy to have been here to help you find your furever family!
If there is one puppy that we know will be extremely spoiled and loved is you little Cooper Cartwright aka Benjamin!
Your family is thrilled to have you join them. You went up to your dad and fell asleep in his arms. Your mom Susan couldn't stand another day without you and your sister Maddie kept asking if you were home yet while she tried to enjoy her amazing spring break trip! Enjoy your gorgeous home and your extraordinary family! No one better than The Cartwrights

Gizmo Found his Happily Ever After!
|
Gizmo
6/19/18 Gizmo had a home until his family decided to add more tiny humans to it. Then they got old enough to chase and pull tails and one day Gizmo had enough and snapped. He didn't get another chance and was surrendered. Several applications came in but we couldn't let Gizmo go to just any home. One day a very kind, patient person with a heart for rescues and time to work with Gizmo submitted the perfect application...... but......she had a pet bird AND a granddaughter who visited frequently. Was it PAWSIBLE that this could work for Gizmo? After all reference checks came back great we all decided it was worth a try. Are we ever glad we did because Gizmo has blossomed into pretty much a perfect dog! He no longer cowers in fear, hides or has "accidents" and there is no need to snap because Gizmos knows nothing but 100% LOVE now. Truth be told he LOVES his new tiny human because she is older and knows how to treat Gizmo with kindness. Gizmo is surrounded by the love of adults, children and a best friend who is a bird! Happy Tails Gizmo! You found your PAWFECT FUREVER!

I found my forever home. I am so happy
|
Stewart
6/18/18 Stewart was adopted today. Stewart was found as a stray off the Interstate with a fish hook embedded in his mouth. His finder worked with animal control to attempt to locate his owner using his microchip info. Sadly the person who answered at the number listed said, "not my dog and don't call me again!." Stewart's finder could not keep him. She was concerned her bigger dogs would hurt him, so he became a United Yorkie Rescue boy. This fellow is as sweet as a lamb and looks and acts so much younger than his 11 years. Today life became so good for Stewart. He found his forever home with other fur siblings and a mom and dad who promised Stewart they will love and care for him for the rest of his life, and they mean forever and ever. He will never be on the streets along again. Stewart is home to stay.

 Toto was adopted.
|
Toto
6/16/18: Toto was adopted by a loving family! He has two fur brothers who have welcomed him with wagging tails! Toto had a rough start after coming to UYR. He needed extensive medical attention to remove bladder stones and regulate his diabetes. His new family is doing a great job keeping his diabetes in check and keeping him healthy! He's claimed the back of the couch as his throne befitting the King of the Castle that he thinks he is. I'll miss you Toto, but could not be happier for you and your new family!
